There are many types of mobile games that I play. They include farming games, monopoly games and building games. Township is all of those and more with an amazing style of gameplay and several twists that make this game one of the only games in its unique genre.
Factories and Houses
The town and farming sides of the game mix together in a very good manner. On the town side, you have the factories to produce goods, community buildings to give jobs to the citizens of your town, houses for your citizens to live in and special buildings to manage orders and boosters.
You start your journey in the town by being instructed by a builder called Ernie to lay the seeds of your town. The first thing you build in the town is a factory called the bakery, where you can produce bread. For bread, you need wheat which can be grown at the farm. Building buildings such as factories require your population to be high enough, and to increase your population, you need to build houses. Each different type of house is bigger and more extravagant than the last and can hold many people. The more houses, the more you can do!
Making bread in the bakery is as easy as pie, simply insert the wheat into the factory box, wait and there it is! Tasty bread!
Community Buildings and Hard-to-get materials
Building houses is the lifeblood of your town, allowing you to build new factories and expand your town. To build houses, however, you need to build community buildings to give your citizens jobs. Community buildings, once completed, need certain amounts of building materials to open. Building materials can be gathered by completing train orders. This, however, is what turns Township from a fast-paced, fun town-building simulator into a slow-paced game where you barely make any progress at all. The higher level you are, the more building materials you need while still only getting one of each kind per train you send off.
Farming
Manufacturing products in factories start with the ingredients coming from the farm. Wheat is grown on the fields along with corn, carrots and tomatoes. Some of the produce from your fields goes directly into your farm to feed your animals. The feed mill is on the farm to produce animal feed for your animals. Feeding your animals makes them willing to lay eggs or produce milk so that you can make more products in your factories.
Events
The Event Center is a building on the edge of your town where special events happen. These events include mini-games where you beat levels to earn points and win prizes, renovation events where you renovate areas to earn rewards and mayors competitions where you win prizes by completing tasks.
Mini-games and mayors' competitions are very short, only lasting two or three days compared to renovations lasting two weeks. Events add a nice touch to the game giving players a chance to earn extra prizes and profile pictures.
Overall, Township is a fun game with its mix of farming and building, but the issue of materials can slow down the game and make it less enjoyable to play. Other than that this game is great fun and gets a solid
