Secret Neighbor is the third game in the Neighbor series after Hello Neighbor and Hello Neighbor Hide and Seek. However, unlike the first two games, Secret Neighbor takes on a very different kind of gameplay than the other two with aspects such as multiplayer and cosmetics.
Story
You have just found out that your creepy neighbour has kidnapped one of your friends and locked them in his creepy basement. Your job? To sneak into your neighbour's house with your friends to find all the keys, unlock the basement door and free your friend. The only problem is that one of the kids is the neighbour in disguise.
Characters
Secret Neighbor has different characters for your team, all of them with different abilities. The characters are Bagger, Brave, Inventor, Detective, Scout and Leader. Everyone on the team has a unique ability, with Bagger having 3 pockets instead of two, Inventor being able to make inventions out of gears and Leader being able to heal faster.
The neighbour himself also has different forms. He can either be the regular neighbour, a butcher or the clown. The butcher has a hook to grab kids with and the clown can disguise himself as anything and throw smoke bombs.
Online
This game is played online with other people. Press the start/find a game button to join a match. There are also custom matches that have tweaked rules and gameplay. You can host your own or join someone else's custom match.
Gameplay (Kids)
The kids spawn outside the house at night with nothing but a torch. The objective is the enter the house and find the special keys. You must look through the drawers, cupboards, on tables and everywhere else! You can also find special key cards that unlock doors that were locked to access more locations. Once you find a key you must find the basement door and unlock one of the many locks. Once all of the locks have been unlocked, enter the basement to win.
Gameplay (Neighbour)
The neighbour spawns into the game disguised as a kid. The neighbour can transform into his true identity after a while and can then use his abilities. The neighbour's simple goal is to eliminate all the kids by grabbing them and locking them in the basement as well. Once all the kids are eliminated the neighbour wins.
Events
There are sometimes events that add a new map and a new identity for the neighbour. The ongoing event at the moment is the spooky park event. The new map featured in this event is an abandoned funfair. The new neighbour's identity is a creepy ghost that can go through walls and turn invisible.
Small Issue
An issue I have encountered while playing is the lag that can occur when you are the neighbour and trying to catch the kids, even when my internet connection is strong. Other than that though, nothing else major.
